How Long To Bake Chicken Halves?

If you simply don't have time to cut up a whole chicken or you just bought half a chicken and you want to bake it without cutting it into smaller pieces, you might just as well bake it as it is. If you're going to purchase a whole chicken and cut it into half, always make sure that it is of Grade A standard because anything below Grade A is substandard type of meats that are usually used by canners.

So how long does it take to bake chicken halves or half of a chicken? Well the answer is quite simple. It's 1 hour or 60 minutes if you bake it at 400°F (204°C). However, you need to make sure that the oven door stayed closed during the baking process. Be sure to let the baked chicken rest for at least 10 minutes before serving.

To be totally sure that the inside of the meat is fully cooked, you can always poke it with a fork and see if the juices that come out are clear. If the inside is still pink or the juices are not clear, that means you have to put it back into the oven and cook for a few more minutes.
