How Long To Bake Chicken Wings?

Baking chicken wings is certainly healthier and less fattening than deep frying them. If you want the chicken wings to be juicy and full of moisture, use a lower baking temperature. If you're in a hurry and you want to bake them fast, use a higher temperature but be careful that you do not overcook and dry them out or worse still, burn them!

Below is a quick guide on the baking time for chicken wings:

  • At 250, 2 hours 30 minutes
  • At 300, 1 hour 30 minutes
  • At 350, 45 minutes
  • At 425, 20 minutes

Different recipes will use different baking settings and thus have different baking time. The type of oven you use will also influence the baking time. For example, a convection oven will definitely cook faster than a normal electric oven. If you want to be totally certain that the wings are fully cooked, simply slice into them and see if the juices that come out are clear. If they are, you can be rest assured that they are fully cooked and ready to be served.
